Budapest
Hotels – If you are travelling independently,
you will need to arrange accommodation. Most hotels
and hostels in Budapest are online so this can be
done over the Internet. Indeed, most hotels in Hungary
can be booked in this way. It is a satisfactory way
to reserve your accommodation for a weekend stay,
short break or longer stay. However, it is best to
give some time to booking the type of hotel as you
want as different online suppliers of hotel accommodation
offer different prices, so you should check around.
The best advice is to settle on the type of Budapest
accommodation for your vacation, the location
of the hotel (szalloda), a city centre hotel or a
hotel on the outskirts or whatever, and then start
looking for the hotel itself. The next task is to
determine the best deal for the dates you want –
so click on a number of different websites.
In Budapest, there is a wide range of class
of accomodation, hotels and hostels –
from luxury 5 star to hostel. All the main international
hotel chains are represented in Budapest centre city
– Hilton, Radisson, Accor, Intercontinental,
Marriott, Kempinski, etc.
A hotel in the center of Budapest
is the best if you are staying for a weekend, short
break, 2-4 nights - most of the sightseeing you’ll
want to do will be in the centre and a central hotel
will mean you won’t have to trek in and out
from the suburbs each day. Centre city hotels are
possibly a little more expensive so you have to balance
this up.
